At CCDOK, we could not do the work we do without their support. Whether it is behind the scenes or having direct contact with someone in need, our volunteers send a powerful message to the person being helped:
You are worthy, You are valuable, and God loves You.
We are proud to introduce some of the dedicated members of the CCDOK Volunteer Team:
Meet Jill Blaze
I am retired from the West Michigan Cancer Center. I have three grown children and the cutest grandson. I enjoy gardening and spending time up North. I hope to relearn how to ride a bike and go new places with my husband.
The Kalamazoo Diocese helped me raise my family. I enjoy giving back to the community who supported me when I needed help.
I love supporting Catholic Charities and volunteering in the Caring Closet and seeing the positive outcomes. It makes me happy to be a part of a team who assists clients and helps to meet the needs of their family. Catholic Charities fosters hope in many lives, and I cherish the time I volunteer.

Meet Janet LeFevre
Janet is a Caring Network support volunteer, wife, and mom of three children.
Janet says, "As a mom, I know how tough parenting can be. I am blessed with a wonderful husband, family and friends as a support system. Some of the clients at Caring Network don't have that. Working in the Caring Closet gives me the privilege to help the clients with at least the physical/material needs of their children."
"I keep volunteering because of the clients. When I help a mom find clothing and other supplies for their family in the Caring Closet, I feel a connection -- mom to mom. As moms, we have that common thread of wanting to take care of our children. I feel that working in the Closet allows me to support a "fellow mom", if only for the moment that they are "shopping" in the Closet. It feels good and right. Also, the staff of Caring Network is incredibly thoughtful and giving -- they do amazing work! It is a pleasure to work with them and give them support by helping maintain the Caring Closet. "
